Your Prayers are Our Tender Mercies

It is so interesting we can see little blessings in the midst of something that may seem so big and overwhelming. It is the little blessings that helps me to know that God is in it all. And each one I feel is a gift sent to us because someone faithful prayed for God to give it to us.

Cody had to have an MRI, but we found out yesterday his insurance paid for it all--- 100%

Cody had to have a lumbar puncture, but it wasn't too painful for him like he thought it might be...he's so tough.

Cody had to stay flat for the first day, but my mom was able to take care of him while I worked so he could have proper royal treatment :)

He developed a spinal leak, but the doctors were able to get him in for a blood patch.

Cody was nervous for the blood patch, but this time I got to be in the room with him, and the head anesthesiologist did it.

He had to miss 2 1/2 days of work, but they were so flexible and understanding.

I had to miss class, but my sweet friend took notes for me so I won't miss a beat.

I started to have a pity party, but then I met someone who had a new diagnosis of breast cancer, and I was immediately humbled and filled with compassion.

In the middle of all of this, I started to cry, but someone gave me a big hug and told me we're stronger than we think, we got an email of encouraging words, and received a letter in the mail full of testimony and truth.

I pray to thank Heavenly Father, and he fills my heart with love and gratitude for all those who exercise their faith in our behalf. Thank you. We will love you forever.

  2. Jos,

Wow. I had no idea all that you two have been going through. Our thoughts and prayers are with you both. I love you to pieces and just think the world of you! You keep me posted, and let me know anything I can do for you. Isn't it a blessing to be in the medical field? It sometimes is more frightening to know all that we do...but at the same time, it's so great to be well-informed and to be surrounded by others that can help us. Truly a tender mercy. It has richly blessed my life, and will continue to bless yours too. Love you-hope all goes well. Heavenly Father will certainly bless you both.
